United Healthcare Biometric Screening Event

United Healthcare will be conducting PHE’s annual Biometric Screening event on       March 26th. Participants must be currently enrolled in PHE’s medical plan. This event is important because it allows employees to “know their numbers”. The event will check your cholesterol, blood pressure, and BMI.

We will have more information for you and how to schedule your appointment soon.

Voluntary Benefit Enrollment is Coming

We will be conducting open enrollment for those interested in voluntary benefits through Colonial Insurance Company. Voluntary benefits include Short-term Disability, Accident, Hospitalization and Cancer insurance to name a few. Colonial will be conducting educational meetings on March 18th to introduce the policies offered. Enrollment will take place on March 19th.  Voluntary benefits can help protect you and your family. Please plan to join us.

2015 Annual Enrollment

Open Enrollment for health benefits has been scheduled for November 10-18 for plans effective January, 2015.  Everyone will want to attend an enrollment meeting to learn of changes for 2015, including the move to a single plan design (HSA plan) and the change of insurance carriers to United Healthcare.  Also, if you provide coverage for dependents (spouse or children) you will want to attend to learn how your premiums will change effective January.  Even if you are continuing the same level of coverage, you will need to complete new paperwork to set up your HSA account with Optum Bank, a division of UHC.

One of the plan design changes we are pleased to share is the improvement in vision care.  The new UHC plan includes allowances for frames, lenses and contact lenses in addition to regular exams.  United Healthcare also will announce a new “Simply Engaged” wellness initiative that pays you and your dependents directly for participating in healthy activities.  A representative from UHC will be onsite for the enrollment meeting to answer all questions.

Please see the schedule below for your assigned meeting (by department).  If you are not available to attend during the assigned meeting, please feel free to drop in any other scheduled time.  Since we have a lot information to share, we ask that you be present at the beginning of the meeting so you have all the information you need.

Meeting Schedule: All meetings will take place in the MEM

Tuesday, Nov 11th –      9:30am, 11:00am & 2:00pm

Wed, Nov 12th – 8:30am, 2:00pm & 7:00pm

Thurs, Nov 13th – 9:30am & 2:00pm
