Hillsborough Area Happenings this Week

Halloween is two weeks away, but the Spirits of Hillsborough will be out this Saturday night. Join the Alliance for Historic Hillsborough for the annual Spirits of Hillsborough Haunted Tours. This highly-anticipated tour will visit several local landmarks, including St. Matthew’s cemetery, the Regulator marker, the Masonic Lodge, and more. Plus, as we explore these historic places we will be visited by the ghosts of Hillsborough’s past, such as William Hooper – signer of the Declaration of Independence, Revolutionary and Civil War soldiers and widows, and Elizabeth Scamp, a devoted wife who tried to break her husband out of jail in the 1760s.Click here for more information or to purchase tickets.
